Uganda Project 2023
Donate to the Uganda ProjectOur Mission
We've decided to embark on a one in a lifetime mission. Volunteers from HatHats Coffee Company have embarked on an exciting, yet challenging, mission to raise money to visit Uganda in October 2023 to help train students at the country’s first vocational college to understand western hospitality as a result of Uganda’s rising tourism.
Twelve volunteers aim to raise £30,000 to help in a local Ugandan community to provide water for villages, teach barista skills and help at local schools.
Our Goals
Drill a Borehole
Provide fresh running water to a village.
Fund a coffee machine for the Social Enterprise
We want to help install a coffee machine in East Africa's first Vocational College.
Teach Hospitality Training
We are taking our trained Baristas over to train and create jobs - bettering the future of the young people to support the booming tourism from western cultures.

Hannah
I’m Hannah, I manage our railway station coffee shops. I want to go to Uganda to pass on my hospitality experience and skills to those in the first vocational college in Uganda. I feel very passionate about charity and helping those less fortunate than ourselves. I hope to fulfill this and see our work provide women and girls jobs in the growing hotel and hospitality industry in Uganda.
Kit
Hi, I’m Kit! I work in the marketing department at HatHats as Senior Content Creator. I’m looking forward to going to Uganda to be able to pass on skills that I’ve learnt to help communities develop thus improving quality of live. It would also be amazing to contribute toward building a borehole to provide water for communities. I’ll be assisting all volunteers with promo materials and keeping people up to date on our progress through our social platforms. I’ll be raising money through runs and other activities that we organise as a team.
