Barista / Team Member - Discovery Park (Maternity Cover)

We're looking for a Barista / Hospitality to join the team at our site at Discovery Park in Sandwich.

HatHats is a business that obsesses about customer service and going above and beyond for the communities we serve. We need someone who will fit into our fantastic coffee and hospitality spaces at the Discovery Park, or someone who is genuinely willing to learn how. Experience behind a coffee machine or in hospitality settings is useful, but it's not what we hire on.

We need people with a can-do, positive attitude who can help deliver the HatHats experience to the tenants and clients at the site.

The important bits

Your location of work will be HatHats Discovery Park, Sandwich. We have a number of positions available either part time or full time and are happy to offer permanent contracts to the right people. Full training is provided from day one.

There is plenty of free parking at the site, and having a driving licence and means of transport will be handy.

Your hourly rate will be age dependent from £11.00 per hour- £13.60 per hour

Unlike our other sites this site operates Monday - Friday and is much quieter in school holidays and is not open on public holidays. Whilst shifts start from 07:30 in the morning and usually finish late afternoon. We occasionally have out of hours events that we need support with.

What you'll be doing

Working across our 3 sites at the Discovery Park in Sandwich. Making and serving barista coffee in our stores, smoothies and frappes, front of house customer service, till operation, keeping the site clean and well stocked as well as working across the sites corporate hospitality offer and occasionally manning our ice cream bike or helping with catering and hospitality.

What we're looking for

A genuine people person, calm under pressure, reliable, and a strong team player. Someone with good initiative who doesn't need to be told twice and actually enjoys talking to customers and permanently wears a smile..

We start with a Discovery Session at one of our sites which is a presentation from our founder to see whether it feels right before anyone commits to anything.
