As you may have seen, the HatHats Foundation has been busy raising money for the Grounds For Growth project starting in Uganda July 2026. The aim of the project is to build a barista training academy and offer coffee training to deprived members in the urban communities of Kampala to provide better employment opportunities. To raise the money needed for this amazing project, our Grounds For Growth team have been working hard on various fundraising activities, both as individuals and as a collective.
Our most recent event was a Charity Quiz Night hosted at Whitstable’s South Quay Shed with over 100 tickets sold. The evening was filled with a selection of raffle prizes, Ovenstone Pizza, and drinks on tap at the Unit 6 Bar. It was absolutely amazing to have Dan, our East Africa Director, in attendance at the event to support our fundraising efforts and talk about our mission. We cannot thank all of our quizzers enough for their support – the evening was a sell-out, great fun for everyone involved and most importantly, raised an incredible £1800.
A special thank you to the South Quay Shed for their collaboration in the hosting of the event, to those who generously donated raffle prizes, and to all those who bought a ticket.
