We're proud to share that HatHats has been shortlisted as a finalist for Sustainable Business of the Year at the Taste of Kent Awards 2026, alongside fellow Kent businesses Silverhand Estate and Whitstable Oyster Co. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Thursday 8th October at MidKent College's Medway campus.
Here's what our founder, Louis Hurst, had to say:
"Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We talk about it with every new starter at our discovery sessions, right at the very beginning of the joining journey, and we've tried to make it part of our DNA in every aspect of our business, from looking after the planet to investing in people and communities.
The HatHats Foundation, our own charity, plays a part in that too, as does how we engage with our supply chain.
To us, sustainability is more than a tick-box policy. It's about creating a legacy and doing the right thing with a much longer sunset, looking at returns over decades rather than years."
Good luck to everyone nominated.
